Gender Pay Gap Persists: Women Earn €4,000 Less Per Year
The gender wage gap continues in the EU. Only four countries have managed to transpose the EU directive on pay transparency into their national law. Member states were given a three-year deadline to implement the directive, which was adopted in 2023. Data shows that women in the EU earn on average approximately €4,000 less per year than their male colleagues.
