Genetic study: Human evolution reshapes populations
A new genetic analysis of approximately 16,000 ancient and modern human genomes shows that human evolution has remained active over the last 10,000 years. Researchers identified nearly 500 gene variants shaped by natural selection, including an increase in red hair prevalence in West Eurasian populations. The results refute the long-held view that human evolution has come to a standstill.
