George Karatzias Appointed Head of Cypriot Financial Regulator
The Cypriot cabinet appointed George Karatzias as head of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), more than two years after he left the authority to become director of the Central Bank of Cyprus. Karatzias receives a five-year term. Loukas Lagoudis was appointed deputy chair and Andrea Moundi Savvides as member.
