Geosfire: Satellite-based forest fire early warning system for Cyprus
A satellite-based system called Geosfire uses artificial intelligence to detect forest fires in Cyprus around the clock. The project was financed with TechIsland funds and was presented in Limassol by researcher Anna Zenonos of the Cyprus Institute's Climate and Atmosphere division. The system aims to provide emergency responders with earlier and more reliable warnings of potential fires.
