A residential building over 40 years old in Germasogeia partially collapsed on Holy Saturday, with the eastern section of the building collapsing "like a house of cards." According to reports, warnings regarding the building's structural condition had been ignored for years, despite the building already being classified as dangerous. The collapse once again raises questions about the administration and monitoring of dangerous buildings in Cyprus.
