GESY: Patients Carry Diagnostic Images on CDs - Digital System Missing
Seven years after the introduction of Cyprus's health system GESY, patients must continue to physically carry X-ray, CT, and MRI images on CDs from doctor to doctor. The medical images are not integrated into the GESY information system and are not accessible to all involved providers and patients, causing significant inconvenience. The Cypriot Medical Association (OAY) is investigating possible solutions.
