Global voter turnout declines, trust crisis grows
An international analysis shows that although direct parliamentary elections are conducted in approximately 95% of countries, voter turnout is declining globally and trust in the legitimacy of elections is diminishing. This represents a significant change since the spread of democratic processes after World War II.
