Government bond yields reach highest level since 2007
Global government bond yields are rising to an average of nearly 4 percent, the highest level since 2007, according to Bloomberg. This sell-off significantly increases pressure on borrowing costs for governments, corporations, and households. The Bloomberg Global Aggregate Treasuries Index rose 8 basis points to 3.99 percent on Wednesday.
