Government Defends Appointment of Board Members
The government rejects criticism over recent appointments to the boards of semi-state organizations. Deputy government spokesman Giannis Antoniou and the chairperson of the advisory body Giorgos Aresti stated that approximately 78-80 percent of the advisory body's recommendations were accepted. They acknowledge that the selection system is not perfect, but dismiss blanket criticism as unfair.
