Government Halts Borrowing from Social Insurance Funds
The Cypriot government announced it will no longer withdraw funds from the surpluses of the social insurance fund. Labour Minister Marinos Mousiouttis announced that from the end of 2028, the gradual repayment of 12 billion euros, which the state has withdrawn from the fund to date, should begin.
