Government Reduces Heating Oil Tax by 5.3 Cents per Liter
The Cypriot government has decided on a reduction of the heating oil tax by 5.3 cents per liter as of November 1 as part of a 70-million-euro package of measures to combat the cost of living crisis. The cabinet approved the package on Wednesday and it additionally includes an extension of electricity subsidies as well as an expansion of value-added tax exemptions on further essential goods.
