Grand Canyon: 20 Persons Missing After Flash Flood - Large-Scale Rescue Operation
A severe flash flood on August 29 in Bright Angel Canyon and the Phantom Ranch region of the Grand Canyon triggered a large-scale search and rescue operation. More than 20 people are missing or have not yet been located, while at least 62 persons have already been evacuated from the affected area. The U.S. National Park Service is directing the operations.
