Great Sea Interconnector: Necessary Project, Not a Blank Check
French investment fund Meridiam was confirmed as majority owner of the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI), marking a restart for the planned electricity connection between Crete and Cyprus. Simultaneously, an agreement was signed between Greece's electricity transmission system operator (ADMIE), GSI, and Nexans to complete the seabed research.
