Greece Significantly Exceeds Budget Targets
Greece's state budget recorded a primary surplus of 5.77 billion euros in the first seven months of 2026, significantly exceeding the target of 4.42 billion euros. The surplus was 1.35 billion euros above target, with the adjusted surplus (excluding timing differences and special revenues) amounting to 302 million euros.
