Greece: Turkish Approval Not Needed for Power Connection
Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Tasos Chatzivasileiou stated that the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI) project, which aims to connect the electricity grids of Cyprus, Greece, and Israel, does not require Turkish approval. According to international law, planning for the cable can proceed without Turkish consent.
