Greece's Parliament Strips Former EU Commissioner of Immunity
The Greek Parliament lifted the immunity of former European Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos, enabling further investigations related to the "Qatargate" corruption scandal, one of the largest scandals in EU history. Avramopoulos is a former Mayor of Athens and currently a Member of Parliament for the ruling conservative party Nea Dimokratia.
