Greek banks catch up with Europe in profitability
Greek banks, some of which also operate in Cyprus, are approaching European competitors and will be among the most profitable in Europe in 2026. The sector has restored capital requirements and consistently exceeds the euro average, according to data from central banks and regulatory authorities.
