Greek citizenship difficult to obtain for diaspora Greeks
Millions of diaspora Greeks struggle against notorious bureaucracy in obtaining Greek citizenship. Although generations of Greeks in the US, Canada and Australia have grown up with stories of the 'old homeland' and preserve traditions, citizenship remains an emotional but practically difficult-to-achieve dream for many.
