Greek ex-diplomat charged: illegal arms deals with South Sudan
Greek national Christos Farmakis, 48, who served as honorary consul of South Sudan for Greece and Cyprus, and British national David Greenhalgh, 68, face trial in London. They are accused of arranging illegal deals to sell Soviet air defense systems and fighter aircraft worth millions of dollars to South Sudan and Libya during their civil wars. Farmakis faces 12 counts of charges, Greenhalgh faces 11.
