Greek independence parade in New York
Thousands of Greeks and Cypriots commemorated the 205th anniversary of Greek independence on April 26 with a large parade on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The event drew associations, schools and organizations from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Canada and Greece, underscoring the significance of this symbolic event for the diaspora.
