Greek Mummy Portraits Discovered in Egypt
Archaeologists made a remarkable discovery in December 2022 in Fayoum, Egypt: a monumental tomb structure from Ptolemaic and Roman times as well as several impressive Greek mummy portraits. It was the first time in over 110 years that such significant finds were made in this region.
