Greek Population in Australia Falls Below 90,000
The number of Greece-born residents of Australia has fallen below 90,000 for the first time, now at approximately 87,000. This represents a significant decline compared to nearly 140,000 in the mid-1990s. The Australian Bureau of Statistics attributes the 37 percent decline primarily to natural aging.
