Green economy creates millions of jobs in the EU
Employment in the EU's environmental economy grew to 5.8 million full-time equivalents in 2023, reflecting continuous expansion of green sectors. According to Eurostat, employment increased from 3.6 to 5.8 million jobs between 2014 and 2023, representing a total increase of 2.2 million jobs during this period.
