Greenhouse gas concentrations in Cyprus reach record levels
Environment Commissioner Antonia Theodosiou warned at the "Earth Hour 2026" event in Troodos about historically high greenhouse gas concentrations in Cyprus. Despite recent progress in emission reduction, concentrations have reached concerning record levels. Electricity production and transport were identified as the main sources of emissions.
