GSI Privatization: Missing Announcement of Greek-Cypriot Energy Deal
The lack of an official announcement regarding the privatization of 66 percent of energy company GSI to French investment firm Meridiam raises questions. The agreement, which was signed on August 5 in the presence of the Greek Prime Minister, was not made public by either the Cypriot electricity authority ΑΔΜΗΕ or the Greek government.
