Guatemala on alert – Fuego volcano spews fire and ash
Guatemala was placed on orange alert status following a violent eruption of the Fuego volcano. The volcano near the capital is spewing lava, gases, and large ash clouds, forcing authorities to issue "danger" warnings. The National Coordination has declared orange alert level at the national level and evacuations of settlements are underway.
