Gulf states seek alternatives to Hormuz bottleneck
Due to military conflicts and threats to commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, oil producers from the Persian Gulf are accelerating their efforts to create alternative export routes for crude oil. Several new pipeline projects are being announced, while older plans are being revived. However, many of these projects are likely to be completed only after 2030 and face technical and political obstacles.
