Guterres keeps door open for Cyprus process
UN Secretary-General António Guterres ended his two-day visit to Cyprus, with President Christodoulidis accepting a compromise proposal on road blockades while Tufan Erhiurman rejected it. Guterres thereby kept the window for negotiations open and preserved hope for progress on the Cyprus issue. Efforts to resolve the conflict remain alive, even if the expected breakthroughs did not materialize.
