Guyana's Rodrigues Birkett leads in unofficial UN Secretary-General election
In the second unofficial ballot of the UN Security Council to elect the next Secretary-General, Carolyn Rodrigues Birkett from Guyana is leading with eight encouragement votes. She received three rejection votes and four abstentions, followed by Rebecca Grínspán from Costa Rica.
