Half of England under drought warning due to drought
The British environmental agency declared half of England a drought area due to exceptionally low precipitation and persistently high temperatures. July recorded only 7 percent of normal rainfall, in southern England in some cases only 1 percent, which has severely affected rivers and reservoirs.
