Health insurance fund imposes fines against doctors and clinic
The Cypriot health insurance carrier (OAY) imposed administrative fines against one hospital and six doctors in the first quarter of 2026. One case involved an ophthalmologist who had billed for services that were not provided or had already been paid for previously. The fines are intended to penalize billing irregularities.
