Healthcare System: OAU Controls Excessive Laboratory Tests
The Cypriot health insurance organization OAU (Organization for Health Insurance) is implementing control measures against excessive laboratory tests. A new performance indicator is being piloted to monitor individual doctors and determine the reasons for the continuous increase in patient referrals. Doctors from ten different specialties have already been informed.
