Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms bring relief from Saharan dust
Cyprus is being battered by intense rainfall, thunderstorms and hail, particularly in Nicosia. The severe weather is expected to dissolve the suffocating African dust cloud that has covered the island over the past few days by evening. The meteorological authority is warning of the extreme weather event, which will simultaneously improve air quality.
