Helicopter rescues ill ship passenger off Paphos
A 67-year-old Belgian man was rescued by a police helicopter from a passenger ship approximately 110 nautical miles northwest of Paphos after falling ill on board. The patient was transported to Nicosia General Hospital for treatment. The national search and rescue plan NEARCHOS was activated to manage the medical emergency.
