Historic fountains in Thessaloniki back in operation after restoration
Eight historic fountains in the Upper Town (Ano Poli) of Thessaloniki have been restored and are flowing again after decades. Greek Culture Minister Mendoni emphasized that the restoration is a significant intervention in the city fabric and that monuments should be living and present in everyday life. The flowing water symbolizes the revitalization of these historic sites.
