Historical Overview: The Origins of Crucifixion
A historical article examines the origins of the execution method of crucifixion, which today is primarily associated with Jesus Christ. Although this form of execution was used approximately two thousand years ago in the execution of Jesus, its origins date back considerably further and do not originate from the Romans.
