Holiday unaffordable for many Cypriots – 3 out of 10 cannot afford accommodation
While the tourist season is at its peak, Eurostat data shows that for approximately 30 percent of Cyprus's population, holidays remain economically unaffordable. According to the latest available data from the European statistics office for 2025, these households cannot afford overnight stays outside their home, reflecting significant economic disparities in the population.
