Honor killings in Pakistan significantly increased
At least 470 women were killed by family members in so-called honor killings in Pakistan in 2025, according to the Pakistani Human Rights Commission. This represents an increase from 405 cases in the previous year and indicates a growing problem of gender-based violence in society.
