Housing Permission Applications Jump 86 Percent
In the first four months of 2026, permits were issued for 5,184 housing units, an increase of 85.9 percent compared to 2,789 in the same period of the previous year. Overall, 2,915 building permits were issued between January and April, compared to 2,157 in the previous year, representing an increase of 35.1 percent. The combined value of all permits rose by 46.1 percent.
