Hybrid and electric vehicles dominate Cypriot auto market
Cyprus recorded a strong increase in hybrid and electric vehicle registrations in the first quarter of 2026, with total new registrations rising 15.1 percent year-over-year. Hybrid vehicles now account for more than half of all passenger car registrations, while gasoline vehicles continue to lose market share.
