Hydra's wooden ships – a living Greek maritime tradition
The wooden shipbuilding tradition of the island of Hydra and other Greek islands has not died out over the centuries. The inhabitants of Hydra and other islands continue the production of traditional wooden ships such as caiques, thereby preserving an important cultural heritage.
