Illegal Waste Dumping: GPS Control System Delayed Until 2027
Monitoring of illegal dumping of construction waste and bulky waste will be delayed until the first quarter of 2027, as the GPS monitoring system for roll-off container operators will not be introduced until later. Owners of containers who illegally deposit waste on open land, streams, and riverbeds can initially expect no consequences. A regulation issued in 2021 had already provided for the installation of monitoring technology.
