IMO Calls for Diplomacy to Evacuate 20,000 Seafarers
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has updated foreign ministers from over 40 countries and calls for diplomatic measures to evacuate approximately 20,000 seafarers from the Strait of Hormuz. The IMO Secretary-General emphasizes during a virtual meeting the need for international support for the safety and evacuation of seafarers stranded in the conflict zone.
