IMO Tightens Safety Rules for Methanol Ship Fuel
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is making progress in tightening safety requirements for ships using methanol and ethanol as fuel. Work during the 12th session of the Subcommittee on the Transport of Dangerous Goods resulted in a comprehensive review of interim guidelines and ongoing work on other lower-flashpoint fuels.
