Impermissible questions about motherhood in job interviews
In Cyprus, female job applicants continue to be illegally asked about marriage, children, and possible pregnancy during job interviews, despite equal opportunity laws prohibiting this. Despite legal bans, employers continue such discriminatory practices, as evidenced by complaint proceedings. This shows that equal treatment does not end with the job advertisement but must be ensured throughout the entire hiring process.
