Increasing Basic Pension Remains Government Goal
Cypriot Labor Minister Marinos Mousiouttas stated that increasing the basic pension is a core government objective without compromising the stability of the social insurance fund. The minister announced that the new basic pension will be below 1,088 euros. The government is thereby attempting to provide relief to pensioners while maintaining the system's financial viability.
