Inmates arrested after arson in Nicosia prison
Police are preparing arrests against inmates who set a fire overnight in the high-security section of Nicosia prison (Wing 4). Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department are working with fire experts to determine the causes of the deliberately set fire in cells and the corridor. The prison union attributes the arson to overcrowding.
