Insurers Ignore Pension Law for Elderly Drivers
Despite a regulation adopted in April and in effect since June 1st, insurance companies refuse to insure elderly drivers or drastically increase premiums. The Third Age Observatory reports numerous complaints from pensioners, particularly low-income retirees, who cannot afford the new insurance premiums. Non-compliance with the law represents a significant problem for the mobility of older people.
