Intensified Controls in Slaughterhouses Before Easter
Cyprus's veterinary authorities are intensifying their inspections in slaughterhouses, butcher shops, and retail meat points ahead of the upcoming Easter holidays. Chief Veterinarian Soteria Georgiadu announced that no new cases of foot-and-mouth disease have been detected by Saturday midday. The authorities remain vigilant and are prepared to respond quickly should new cases occur.
