Interior Ministry defends removal of parental names from ID cards
The Cypriot Interior Ministry defended the decision to remove parental names from new biometric ID cards. The Ministry justified this based on recommendations from the Children's Rights Commissioner, the position of several political parties, and European standards and international norms.
